Visit to Wantage Libary with Staff and Parents

Research shows that children learn better when their parents are involved as they are the first and the most important educators of their children. Parents and careers are very welcome in our pre-school.

Our rota system involves all parents in helping in the group on a regular basis. This helps to maintain the high ratio of adults to children in our group, guaranteeing individual care and attention for each child as appropriate. It also gives parents the opportunity to take an active part in the group, to see what happens there and to talk about it afterwards with their child. In addition, a rota system provides a valuable opportunity for all children to see their own parents/carers in a new role.

There are many ways that parents support our pre-school and we consider it a particular strength of the pre-school that our parents are so involved. Parents help not just with running the sessions but also as committee members, fundraisers or as our representatives in the community.
